The aim of the practical training is to prepare the student to plan and provide care and service for older people in institutions
Läranderesultat
At the end of the course the student is expected to:
- be able to use theoretical knowledge about diseases, basic care and knowledge about how to communicate with a patient, in planning and performing care of the elderly patient that is based on individual needs in order to gain wellbeing
- be able to understand the meaning of teamwork in meeting different professions
- understand the rehabilitating approach and the work and working methods of different occupational groups within rehabilitation
- be able to take part in the daily activities as one member of the multiprofessional team- • Understand how aids and assistive devices are selected, purchased and introduced- be able to do a written report of one client’s rehabilitation process
- Show responsibility and ethical attitude in work with patients and work team
- Show willingness to cooperate, reliability and punctuality in the work
