Kompetensmål
Students acquire in-depth knowledge of the
internationalisation of businesses. Focus is on creating international market entry plans for small and medium-sized companies in the Baltic Sea Region (BSR).The students also know the basics of how to
conduct applied research in the field.
Läranderesultat
At the end of the course the student is expected
to be able to plan and carry out business related
R & D projects in the BSR.
Innehåll
The course participants will do applied
research on internationalisation of small- and
medium sized enterprises.
The research activities will be performed
either in Finland or in another BSR country.
The following topics are included:
- methods used in applied research
- desk research on the chosen company
- field research performed
- reporting research results
- lectures on the economic situation in the BSR
- lectures on SMEs' role in the BSR
- branch specific lectures
