The course aims to strengthen and evaluate the
following skills and knowledge:

Knowledge of the subject matter,
Analytical skills for trend analysis and scenario
forecasting,
Drafting/writing skills of reports,
Project planning skills,
Project delivery skills,
Review/feedback skills,
Teamwork skills,
Presentation skills

At the end of the course the student
is expected to be able to:
Be equipped with the foundations to participate
in FinTech dialogues in the industry with a
particular focus on Transactions. This requires
the student to understand the current state of
financial technology regarding transactions and
the challenges of the future
Identify through analysis implications for the
future of Transactions in terms of:
Opportunities and risks as a profersional and /
or physical person
Opportunities and risks for the industry
surrounding Transactions e.g. technology
entrepreneurs, banks, corporates, financial
regulators
Derive recommendations and actions for the
industry surrounding Transactions e.g. technology
entrepreneurs, banks, corporates, financial
regulators

(1) The lectures integrate seminar sessions with
guest speakers to get an overview as viewed from
the perspective of the financial industry,
regulators, startups, investors and academia.
(2) Case study elaboration and presentation: in-
class and autonomous activities

A bachelor degree
At least three years work experience gained after
completing the higher education degree
Deep interest in financial technology.
A technology background is not a hard
prerequisite for this course.
