Several cases of coronavirus infections (COVID-19) have been detected at Arcada University of Applied Sciences during the past week. People who have been exposed in close contact have been contacted by the City of Helsinki's Epidemiological Operations Unit and placed in quarantine.
To avoid queues and spreading of the virus we hope that you will follow these guidelines:
-Please use the HSL app for purchasing discounted tickets when using public transport. If you do not have banking codes or if you use the plastic card and do not have a student card, you may collect the HSL discount form from D2.
-Please use the digital student card to get lunch at a discounted price. If you do not have a student card you may fill out the KELA meal subsidy card and get it stamped.
-Discount forms for VR and Matkahuolto can also be collected from D2.
As of 3 August campus is open to students and the public weekdays from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Continued opening hours and more detailed instructions for the autumn will be given in mid-August based on the national recommendations and an analysis of the overall situation.
We remind you to continue to observe good hand hygiene and safety distances when you visit on campus.
Today, Arcada was audited and we passed the audit. We received a renewed certificate and can continue to work for a better environment and sustainable development. We will get a report later that shows our strengths and what still could be improved.

Have a nice summer and hope to see you in August!
The survey Corona in the rear-view mirror is completed. A total of 892 students and 143 employees contributed with answers. Thus, the response activity among students was 39% and among the staff 71%. In addition to responses to the closed questions, more than 900 successful and less successful learning activities were described. A fantastic result!
The material will provide a good picture of how Arcada managed to deal with the sudden change due to the Corona pandemic, and provide us with valuable information for future challenges.
