Competency aims

The aim for the course is that the student is able to assess, critically examine and utilize various forms of knowledge in order to find the best practices for the work with clients and users within their own professional field.

The student is able to:
- Strengthen a critical approach by actively identify, explain and justify different problems in their own profession.
- To develop own knowledgebase the student can independently collect and critically examine scientific knowledge within own professional field.
- Consider both professionals' experiences and the person's experiences and circumstances as a base for application of integrated solutions to complex problems.

Learning outcomes

At the end of the course the student is expected to
be able to
- select, discuss and define a problem area within the profession and reflect on the degree of involvement of the individual person in the process.
- use relevant databases and keywords to find scientific knowledge in own professional field.
- collate, evaluate and combine scientific works in a systematic review.
- discuss the degree to which the individual / client / person / user have the opportunity to contribute to the best practice process.
