The aim of the course is to be familiar with
physiotherapy (PT)as a profession and a field of
science. Furthermore the students are expected
to
be able to use research in their studies and
bachelor thesis.

The students

• can describe PT as a profession and as a
  discipline and are familiar with the historical
  roots
• understand the meaning of different
  theoretical perspectives in relation to Pt
  practice and research
• realize the importance of evidence based
  PT
• can critically read research in PT and reflect
  on the meaning of the research in PT practice

The professional and scientific paradigm in PT
Theoretical concepts and different perspectives
in physiotherapy
Principles concerning evidence based practice in
PT
Critical appraisal of research in PT

Basic course in Physiotherapy (introduction
course)

Development of research in physiotherapy

The course language is Swedish. The course can be
held in English.
