Competency aims

The aim of the course is a general overview of
the digitalisation in the Nordic healthcare,its
driving forces and its ethical challenges. To
formulate a sustainable roadmap for digital
service development, implementation and
interventions in a healthcare context.

Learning outcomes

At the end of the course you are expected
to be able to:

  • have theoretical knowledge of health
    technology and its growth and development as a
    means of increasing equality and participation
  • discuss the future potential and development
    of health technology
  • identify areas where health technology can
    increase access to support and healthcare
  • critically reflect on health technology in
    relation to evidence, quality and ethical
    aspects
  • lead the implementation of health technology
    within your own area
  • cherish a person-centered approach in
    relation to welfare technology

Course contents

Different health technology examples and their
possibilities in health and welfare.

Prerequisites and co-requisites

A bachelor degree and at least two years work
experience gained after completing the higher
education degree

Additional information

Note that the Leadership for Nordic Healthcare
programme is entirely online, and therefore
this course will consist of online activities
only.
The course requires active commitment each
week, as peer-learning and self-driven learning
activities are the foundation for deep learning.

  2. a written task
