Students develop their skills in the field of

occupational therapy for increaseing activity
opportunities and participation among clients
with activity limitations caused by
rheumatologic
diseases or hand surgery, orthopedic and
traumatological injuries
Students develop their skills in the field of
the occupational therapy process and
professional

- Understanding how the injury / impairment
affects an individual's occupational
performance
and participation in the various activity areas
- Can through professional reasoning support
the
client's occupational performance
- Can assess, plan, implement and evaluate the
client-centered occupational therapy for the
client with activity limitations

professional relationship and partnership:

ORTHOSIS: Students can make some basic static
orthoses (for rest and work, thumb-and
fingerortoses) and has theoretical knowledge to
produce other static-and dynamic orthosis.
Course contents
Occupational therapy for people with rheumatic
diseases, problems in support and locomotion,
and
traumatological damage. Occupational therapy
for
pain syndromes. The basics in theoretical
models
and the Occupational science concept,
Occupational Adaptation. The hand function.
Orthotic intervention for different diagnoses.
Production of orthosis.
Prerequisites and co-requisites
Basic course in occupational therapy, Occupational
therapy process

The language for teaching Dynamic handorthosis is
English.
