In this study unit the focus lies on the following
competencies:

Competencies:
The module includes the competencies to work for sustainable health with an occupational science perspective and to work as an actor for development and change. You have basic knowledge of the population's health, social context and the right to be active in society. You understand the need for everyone's right to occupation and how physical, social, cultural and institutional structures in society affect this. You can identify an imbalance in occupational opportunities for vulnerable groups in society. You have basic knowledge of self-leadership.
The module includes 5 credits of practical training

Learning outcomes

Knowledge:
You have a basic understanding of different perspectives on health.
You have a basic understanding about sustainable health.
You have a basic understanding about vulnerable groups in society.
You can understand the meaning about social sustainability.
You have basic knowledge of and can explain the meaning of the concepts of occupational balance and occupational justice.
You have a basic understanding about ethics and morals.

Skills:
You can explain the meaning in the perspective of health in relation to a vulnerable group in society.
You can use the terms Doing, Being, Becoming and Belonging to identify opportunities and restrictions for occupation in everyday life, for vulnerable groups in society.
You can identify how contextual and structural factors affect individuals 'and groups' opportunities for participation in society (SDG 10)
You can explain the meaning and give examples of how occupational balance and occupational justice affects occupations and participation for different groups in society.
You can explain the meaning of the different forms of occupational justice, linked to interculturality and intersectionality.

Attitude:
You realize the importance of your role as an actor in maintaining social sustainability in your work with individuals and groups.
You respect the importance of good life quality in everyday life.
You take responsibility for a critical approach to how the media affects our understanding of sustainable health, social injustice and quality of life.
You are able to identify your own values and how they color your way of thinking and acting.
