The aim of the course for the student is
to
-learn how to guide parents on health and
nutrition for infants and children under age 7
-know the contents of the program for following
up health and development of children age 0-7.

  • know the contents of a post partum check on
    women

At the end of the course the student is
expected to be able to

  • follow up children´s health and development
  • know and implement the Finnish vaccination-
    programme
  • guide parents in healthcare among
    children 0-7 years
  • support families in healthy habits of life
  • know the most common pediatric issues
  • know nutrition for children 0-7 years
  • do a postpartum check on women

Childrens healthcare 3,5cr
Pediatrics 0,5cr
Extended course on vaccination knowledge 1cr
