Learning outcomes

Upon completion of this study unit:

You master the basics of vector arithmetic.
(Knowledge)

You can create simple games/simulations in
Unity game engine. (Skills)

You can mathematically describe everyday forces,
such as gravity, normal force and frictional
force. (Knowledge)

You can apply vector arithmetic in software code
to simulate various everyday forces in a
2D environment. (Skills)

You identify the practical use of
basic physics knowledge in
information technology. (Approach)

Course contents

Naturel science:
- Vectors and vector arithmetics
- Unit vectors (normalizing)
- The relation force, mass and acceleration
- Forces from "everyday life": normal force,
friction and gravity

Programming:
- C# basics
- Introduction to the Unity game engine
- Basics of object oriented programming
