How do I forward my student email to another address (gmail etc) ?

Go to Outlook settings and search for "forwarding".

How do I download all my emails?

When you are leaving Arcada you might want to download all your email to your computer. Below you will find instructions of how to download all your email from Office 365 Outlook to your local computer.

Export all email to a .pst file:

  1. You need to buy Outlook (desktop version) for your computer.
    • NB. If you have installed Outlook on your computer using your Arcada account, it will also stop working when you leave Arcada.
  2. Add the Arcada account to your Outlook: File -> Add Account.
  3. Export your email from Office 365 as a .pst file. Detailed instructions for .pst export External link

NB. also your contacts will be saved in the .pst file.

Read the email from the .pst file:

To read the emails saved in the pst-file, do either A or B:

A. If you sporadically need access to your old email, do:

File -> Open & Export -> Open Outlook Data File

B. If you have other email account in your Outlook (desktop version), it is possible to import the pst-file to one of these accounts. Choose:

  1. Go to outlook.arcada.fi
  2. Choose Contacts
  3. Choose Manage -> Export Contacts

How do I change my email address?

If you have an email alias in the format firstname.surname@arcada.fi, and you have changed your name, we can change your Arcada email if you contact it-support. Your username will remain the same, it can not be changed. 

I graduated and now cannot access my email, what to do?

When you graduate your Arcada IT-account, including email address is deactivated. You will no longer have access to your email or files stored in OneDrive. See also reactivation of your account.

I cannot send a big file through email, what do I do?

Use Filesender or OneDrive for sending huge files.
