QueerMieli is a project by Nyyti ry aimed at promoting the mental health of queer students. Registration for the spring QueerMieli peer support groups (in Finnish) is now open!

Since the world has not yet fully embraced diversity, many queer students experience minority stress in their daily lives – including in their studies. The QueerMieli peer support groups offer support for mental well-being and experiences of minority stress for LGBTIQA+ students in universities and universities of applied sciences.

The goal of the groups is to find ways to cope with minority stress and, at the same time, celebrate queer identities and community with peers. In these groups, LGBTIQA+ students get together to discuss, share experiences, and both give and receive peer support. The Finnish-speaking groups are free, closed, limited in time, and held online.
