Since 1.1.2023, the amanuenses have a new job description with the title study counsellor. Study counsellor is the accepted title used in most HEIs.
The study counsellors’ main task is to offer diverse and effective guidance and counseling in order to increase students’ ability to complete their studies within the allotted time. In practice, this means supervising students in study planning, choosing courses and in the process of accreditation or validation of study attainments. The study counsellors are the one´s making individual study plans with students, following up study success as well as identifying and contacting students who have fallen behind in their studies.
The study counsellors are administratively part of Arcada Services, but continue working closely with the degree programmes and especially with the programme directors. You find the study counsellors per programme behind this link at Start.
