Competency aims
By the end of the course the student will be
able to:
Develop knowledge of the fundamental concepts
within problem validation, value proposition,
lean development process, design thinking and
demo creation.
By actively reflecting during the course the
student finds possibilities to utilize her/his
know how in real challenges and to utilize
multiple development approaches, to put the
knowledge the student acquires in school into
practice.
Develop their working skills as well in
multidisciplinary and international teams as
industry collaboration.
Learning outcomes
At the end of the course you are expected to be
able...
1) to develop your skills in problem validation
and in developing meaningful value propositions
2) to learn teamwork and team building skills in
a multidisciplinary and international teams
3) to understand the characteristics of lean
development processes
4) to learn how to utilize design thinking
5) to learn to build concrete demos or a prototype
for validation
6) to learn industry collaboration when working
with partner organisations domain experts
Course contents
We as humankind recognize the need for solutions
towards the global challenges we are facing. But
what are the opportunities and innovations that we
could see and take further? Who are the ones who
will grab on to these opportunities?
Demola is internationally awarded strategic
foresight platform for businesses and university
students. Demola invites you to create visions of
the future you think the humanity needs. We have
now launched our One for Humanity program for the
second time. The program is built around six bold
themes:
Planetary Emergency
Multipolarization in our Societies
New Drivers of Wealth
Human Beings in the Modern World and
Time After Data
Difference-making technologies
Under each of these themes you will find multiple
interesting online projects. The accepted students
will work in global multidisciplinary teams
together with our foresight experts for 8 weeks.
Our student teams own the intellectual property
rights of their creations.

skills and offeres students networking

Students participating in this course will get

choose those projects that interest you and find
arguments why Demola should choose you to those
projects, try to focus e.g. on these topics:
MOTIVATION: what is your own motivation to the
different projects that Demola offeres, choose
the most motivating ones and argument for your
motivation to be a part of the team
SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE: what can you bring to the
project, both professional and outside studying.
How could your skills be utilized in the project.
TEAM WORK: your strengths in working with
multiprofessional and international teams
CURIOSITY: what is your level of interest in new
things, finding answers, do you always need to get
answers
GENERAL OPTIMISM: willingness in finding potential
and new solutions, seeing optimism in the future
HOW CAN YOU DEAL WITH UNCERTAINTY
