Competency aims
The aim of the course is that after completing
the course the student should have a broader
understanding of how inclusion and accessibility
in the community can be increased by how
products, services and services are developed
using the principles of universal design. The
students perform a concrete development project
based on the principles of universal design.
Learning outcomes
After the course you will be able to:
- describe the theories of UD
- identify and analyze facilitators and hindrance
in realizing UD.
- use the principles for UD to assess
assesibility to physical environments, products
and services in society.

The course is a webb-course.
Part I: Theory about the concept of Universal
design (5ECTS)
Part II: Project-based work with Universal Design
as frame of reference (5ECTS)
It is possible to accomplish only the theoretical
part of the 5 ECTS. Prerequisite for Part II is
that Part I is approved.

The course starts on April 27th with induction. The discussion topic and the examination task will be published April 28th.
Part two is a project, which you perform in a
group.
