Competency aims
The course will introduce the student to the
field of
eHealth and its advantages and disadvantages.
During the
course the student will get to know the basic
concepts in
eHealth and can critically and ethically examine
them and
their use in the field of health promotion and
rehabilitation. The students will also get an
overview of
different ICT solutions in digital healthcare,
as well as
governing eHealth strategies and policies. At
the end of
the course the student will have a basic
understanding of
what eHealth is and can identify and examine the
future
potentials of eHealth.
Learning outcomes
At the end of the course the student is expected
to:
- identify and examine existing digital
solutions in eHealth
- be able to discuss the future potential and
development of eHealth
- be able to present different definitions of
eHealth
- be familiarized with the different strategies
and policies that govern the
development of eHealth
- be aware of the new challenges that eHealth
brings to ethical issues

NOTE that this course has an intensive timetable
and we therefore recommend all student to be
active from the very beginning of this course.

Assessment requirements
1. Quiz and online book exam (1h) makes up for
40 % of final course grade 15.5.2018. These
activities gives a max 24 points and in order to
accomplish this course you need a minimum of 9
points.
2. Three (3) different and guided blog text for
each student using
scientific articles for all blog text is a
required.
Student are also required to comment on two
fellow students blog texts.
Additionally all students write up a learning
summary text, including; comments
and learning reflections upon these comments
(deadline 30.5.2018). All of these
activities makes up for 60 % of the course
grade.These activities gives a max 36 points and
in order to accomplish this course you need a
minimum of 15 points.
