The aim of the course is to improve the
spoken Finnish skills when working with the
routine client. Specifically targeting the
nurse-
client-related interaction by developing
fluency
in both spoken and written Finnish.

At the end of the course the student is
expected
to be able to orally interact with native
speakers
in client-service and work-related discussions.

Writing
-be able to manage registering of patient data.
-be familiar with simple reports.

Client-service dialogues even per telephone,
registering of contact and other personal
details,
dealing with working life situations within the
field
of health care.

Level B 1 i Common european Framework of Reference
for Languages.

The course Communicative Finnish for Health
Care
field can't be used to
compensate the course Nursing Finnish or any of
the courses in Finnish as the second domestic
language in the degree programs in Swedish.

You may miss three classes and compensate two
more times with auxiliary assignments. If you
miss more than five classes your will not get
any credits.

• Internet-based studies - 30 hours
• Examination and tests - 7 hours

Participation in tuition

• Exams (written-, oral-, home-)
• Oral tests either 24.5. or 25.5.

To pass the course the student should pass the
following examinations:
Examination 1 written exam
Examination 2 oral test
Submitting of all assingments.
Participation in the exercises.

The examinations contribute to the final grade
as
follows: written exam 30 %
oral test 30 %
assignments 30 %
participation in the exercises 10 %.
You may miss two classes and compensate one

miss more than three classes your will not get
any credits.
