Competency aims
The primary aim is to develop English language competence, in particular Business English communication skills required in the professional context, i.e
- to improve spoken fluency in business situations
- to improve writing skills
The course also aims to provide the student with the necessary support in study skills (writing, researching, presenting) to succeed in his/her degree studies.
Learning outcomes
At the end of the course the student is expected to be able
- to communicate effectively on matters regularly encountered at work, in school, at leisure
- give clear, rather detailed descriptions about the
organizational structure of a company, product components,
services or processes
- interact with a high degree of fluency
in business situations/negotiations
- deliver a well structured presentation.
