Learning outcomes

At the end of the course the student is
expected to be able to map and identify
environmental impact of different business
activities. She/ he also understand the
framework and meaning of environmental
management. Student can analyze the best
possible tool options for managing
environmental impact in the hospitality and
tourism industry

The course Environmental Responsibility in the
Hospitality and Tourism Industry consists of
following:
Concepts of environmental management
Corporate environmental impacts and
sustainability
Framework of policy guidelines and regulations
guiding hospitality and tourism industry
Specific environmental management systems, such
as EMAS, ISO14001 and Green Office
Environmental management systems, planning and
tools
Implementation of an environmental management
system step-by-step
