Competency aims
The aim of the course is for the student to carry
out a small-scale literature review on a
structural and methodical way, and deepen their
knowledge of writing non-fiction with clarity,
linguistic accuracy and stylistic academic
clarity. The student deepens their knowledge of
how to critically examine and oppose a thesis.
Learning outcomes
Upon completion of the course, the student is
expected to be able to argue for their:
- data collection method and methodology to
processing and analyse their material.
- discuss and critically examine their work
and make comparisons to previous knowledge
in the field.
- present their findings at a thesis seminar
in an objective manner.
- act as an opponent to another student
at a thesis seminar.

-Group supervision.
-Presentation of own thesis and opposition of a
thesis.
-Maturity test.

For a passing grade the student must
take the following examinations:
- The work must be finally approved by the
supervisor and and the examiner
- presentation of the work at the Thesis Forum
- the opponent's report and the opposition must be
approved
- the maturity test must be passed (content)
- the thesis must have passed
authentication and plagiarism control
- entered on Theseus or bound according to
Arcada's
instructions.
