Competency aims
The aim of the course is to contribute
to develop the
student's competence in caring for
patient's suffering
from different kind of crisis,
dependency, drug abuse
and basic mental problems.
The student develops her/his competence
in the
contextual clinical care. The student
forms her/his
competence in the assessment and care
of the patient
who needs emergency care.
Learning outcomes
At the end of the course the student is
expected to be able
to identify,to encounter and to take
care of patient's in
different types of crisis and
abuse problems.
The student recognizes and is able to
encounter mental
aspects in caring.
The student also understands the
principles of recieving a
patient at the emergency room.
Students needs to know the basics for
in-hospital
advanced resiscitation.
