Competency aims
This course provides a basic introduction
to statistics and probability covering simple
statistical measures and probability distributions.
Learning outcomes
The students get a basic knowledge of collecting, describing and analysing data with statistical methods, that is
-to formulate problems in statistical terms.
-select and apply an appropriate model.
-interpret and communicate results.
Course contents
Frequency distribution. Graphs. Central
tendency. Variation. Correlation.
Regression line.Basic counting princilpes,Probability,probability distributions,expected values and
applications.
