Competency aims
The aim of the course is to give the student basic knowledge of the Swedish language and how to use it in everyday situations (= CEFR A.1.1)
Learning outcomes
At the end of the course the student is expected to be able to
- cope in routine everyday situations (orally)
- be acquainted with the Swedish alphabet
- write very simple messages (e.g. filling in one's personal data on a form)
- to form simple declarative sentences and questions in the present tense both orally and in writing
- understand simple statements about himself/herself
- grasp the essential information in simple texts which deal with everyday life (reading comprehension)
- understand words and expressions about himself/herself and his/her local environment when the interlocutor is speaking very slowly
