You can describe different ways of understanding
and managing social risks and social problems and
understand processes that can lead to exclusion
and marginalization.

discuss challenges in maintaining social well-
being in Nordic societies.
You can describe the organization of health and
social services in Finland and know about social
and health services, which are produced in the
public, private and third sectors.

You know what the decision-making process is in
the EU, the state, welfare areas/ counties and
municipalities.

You understand what social, economic and
ecological sustainability means and can identify
sustainability challenges.

Skills
You can discuss living conditions for different
groups in the
modern welfare society.

Examination 1:Individual report
Examination 2:Written exam (PBL-exam)

Examination 5: Seminar assessment
