Within this study unit we will focus on the

The aim of the course is that the student
- is familiar with the society and understand
the public and economical connections within
the profession in the public and private
sector.
- can describe the possibility to public
influence, explain how the working life is
organized and be aware of the legislation that
underlie the labour market.
- is familiar with the Nordic welfare model as
a base of values.
- is familiar with the own working field and
see possibilities to be an entrepreneur
Learning outcomes
Once you have completed the study unit you will?
- Understand the Nordic welfare model as a base of
values, and be able to discuss the meaning of
Nordic welfare in relation to the nursing
profession.
- Understand the structure of Finnish society,
it?s legislation and other regulations that are a
base for how Finnish society works. You will be
familiar with Finnish legislation that underlies
the labour market and that is essential for
healthcare and the nursing profession
- Be familiar with different aspects of Finnish
society, understand the public and economical
connections to nursing within both the public and
private sector, and can explain how working life
is organized.
- Be able to describe the possibility of public
influence, and be able to identify your own
possibilities of influence.
- Be able to describe the healthcare and welfare
services the local authorities offer according to
existing legislation.
- Understand the value of multi professional
cooperation.
- be able to describe the structure of the
society and the legislation and other
regulations that is a base for how the society
is working
- be familiar with the legislation that is
essential for the profession
