Competency aims

In this study unit, the following competencies are in focus:
You know the editing process from organizing and syncing to a finished movie - both fiction and documentary.
You can collaborate with the director and the others in the film group.

Learning outcomes

Learning outcomes:
- You have an overall knowledge of theories regarding creative processes for clips in film - both in fictional and documentary films.
- You know cutting rules.
- You know the development in film clips - from silent films to modern formats. You know important references in movie clips that can also serve as inspiration.
- You can use the most common cutting programs.
- You know the work process with the director and other members of productions.
Skills:
- You master the terminology used and can use the most common tools.
- You can synchronize and organize the material with the overall process in mind.
- You know how important it is to think about different workflows.
Attitude:
- You understand the importance of theoretical knowledge.
- You can adapt your creative business to work in different types of teams and understand the importance of a good collaboration.
- You adapt your creative activities to given circumstances in order to achieve common goals in a group
