Competency aims
The aim of the course is to make the student able to take all
aspects of sustainable development in consideration at events and
other activities.
Learning outcomes
At the end of the course the student is expected to
- be aware that the future prospects of survival and a good life
depends on a
gentle and sustainable use of natural, environmental and human
resources
- be able to concretize the current threats to the environment
and their causes,
and to describe how the global ecosystem is man's basic tool,
and how man can
be a resource in the global ecosystem
- have understood that sustainable development includes
ecological,
technological, economic, social and cultural aspect that all are
interdependent
and can be achieved in the context of a global and regional
cooperation
- be able to see his/her own business sector's role and
responsibility to
contribute to global sustainable development
- have gained an insight into the polytechnic management
system
Course contents
The course is about how the global ecosystem provides a human
resource base, and that sustainable development
includesecological, technological, economic, social and cultural
aspects that all are interdependent. During the course insights
and knowledge is set to practice in a production.
