Competency aims
The aim of the course is to develop the student's ability to apply his/her knowledge and skills to practical professional tasks in the area of occupational therapy. The student deepen his/her knowledge and skills in a professional area deemed to be of central importance to occupational therapy and student a capacity for independent analytical thought.
Learning outcomes
At the end of the course the student is expected to be able to create a report based on the research process. He/she can report the different stages including the relevance of the problem, its relationship to existing knowledge, issue or hypothesis, methodology, results and discussion.
Course contents
Individual and group supervision.
Presence at idea and planseminars and presentation of own idea and plan.
Opponens of a plan and a thesis.
Presence at 15 thesis seminars. Five of these presentations should be from other area than occupational therapy.

to initiate the process of final thesis 105 ECTS credits are required

The timetable of the course
För de studerande som följer den gamla studieplanen genomförs grupphandledningar i grupp 1 och grupp 2 med följande tidtabell:
10.9, 1.10, 31.10 och 19.11.2012
De studerande som följer den nya läroplanen har sin idévecka under tiden 29.10 - 2.11.2012, veckan inleds med introduktion och infosökning och avslutas med idéseminarum.
Arbetet med plan inleds 7.1.2013 och stöds upp med regelbundna grupphandledningar i 2 basgrupper.Inlämning av material till grupphandledningar enligt följande:
15.1 Inlämning av bakgrund
1.2 Inlämning av teoridel
22.2 Inlämning av metoddel.
En färdig plan lämnas in 5.3.2013 och planen presenteras vid planseminarium den 11.3.2013.
Under tiden 6.5 - 31.5.2013 arbetar studerande intensivt med sitt examensarbete, inlämning av färdigt examensarbete 10.6.2013 och presentation av examensarbete i augusti 2013.
