The student is able to manage small scale media productions
Learning outcomes
Students will understand mass media as a system of interrelated
forces, including historical foundations, technological advances,
economic dynamics, regulatory constraints, and ethical concerns.
Students will be able to grasp the complex relationship between
communication/media theories and a diverse set of individual,
social, and professional practices.
Students will understand the underlying philosophical
assumptions of, and be able to apply, one or more communication
research methods to address a range of media texts and
audiences, production and technological practices, and relevant
social issues.
Students will comprehend the foundations, process, and practices
of writing for and about the media, and demonstrate proficiency in
writing in one or more professional media writing applications.
Students will be able to conceptualize, design, and produce one or
more works in media based on effective principles and practices
of media aesthetics for a target audience.
TECHNICAL SKILLS AND ENTREPRENEURSHIP in its domain •
Students have mastered the key tools to manage the realization of
customer orders and to realize personal artistic projects. •
Students are aware of the social appearance, needs and

Course contents
Breddstudierna kan göras som specialiserings studier som lärande
i arbete.
Studenten väljer en av fem specialiseringar:
• Internationell kulturproduktion (30 sp)
• Kultur som näringsverksamhet (30 sp)
• Kulturproducenten som samhällsaktör (30 sp)
• Hantering av evenemangs- och festivalproduktion (30 sp)
• Mediakultur (sp)
Gemensamt innehåll för specialiseringar:
Studenten:
- avtalar ett kontakttillfälle med examensansvarig och
presenterar
sin preliminära plan för specialiseringen.
- I samråd med den som ansvarar för specialiseringen gör
studenten upp följande planer:
o Litteraturplan, ur vilken framkommer vilken litteratur
studenten
tänker fördjupa sig i för att förstå kontexten för det område/den
praktikplats där lärande i arbete sker.
o Praktikplan. Ur planen framkommer vad studenten ämnar lära
sig
under lärande i arbete och hur samt när denna inlärning sker
o Preliminär utvecklingsplan. Ur planen framkommer om det
finns
element i processen där studenten kunde fungera som utvecklare
av
t.ex. nytt projekt eller annat utvecklingsarbete på praktikplatsen.
- Genomförande av praktik enligt praktikplanen och mot de
målsättningar som finns i planen
- Uppgörande av utvecklingsplan individuell och för
praktikplatsen
- Utvärdering av sitt eget arbete och sin förmåga att göra
utvecklingsarbete.
