The aim of the course is for the student to

- Understand the different processes and phases
of event production
- Develop skills needed to produce events
- Develop insights into the event field

Learning outcomes

After completing the course, the student is
expected to be able to

- Master the basics of creating cultural events
- Plan, organize, evaluate and develop an event
and the operations around it
- Know what volunteer work means in practice and
how volunteer management works at events
- Know about sustainability and safety in event
production

Course contents

How does event production work in practice? How
are cultural events planned, organized,
evaluated and developed?

During the course, we go through the various
phases and sub-areas of event production and how
to produce events in a successful way. The
emphasis is on the theoretical, which in
practical exercises is tested and compared with
how it actually works at events through
observations in the field. As part of the
course, course participants will do volunteer
work at events.
