Competency aims

The aim of the course is that students have qualifications to actively be engaged in developing safe pharmacotherapy both evidence based as well as with an innovative approach.

Learning outcomes

After completion of the course the student is expected to
- demonstrate knowledge and understanding of safe pharmacotherapy
- is able to take the responsibility of correct medication and supervise both colleagues as well as patients in matters concerning pharmacotherapy
- to have qualifications to create new models for safe pharmacotherapy

- Safety in the pharmaceutical process
- Risks related to the administration of drugs
- Interventions to enhance patient safety
- Current research in drug safety

Prerequisites and co-requisites

The course in Patient Safety or equivalent knowledge.
