Competency aims:
- You have in-depth knowledge and understanding of patient safety within health care, to which you can orient yourself and apply theories and methods from a systems perspective.
- You understand the meaning of successful patient safety work and can review and critically evaluate how the implementation of safety work is done.

Learning outcomes

Learning outcomes:
- You will learn safety theories and understand safety processes and systems in health care at the individual, community and organizational level.
- You will learn how to identify risk factors and risky situations and you can build and create resistance to errors and mistakes that occur in health care.
- You have thorough knowledge of human factors and in non-technical factors and understand how these affect the safety and quality of care.
- You understand the importance of leadership for successful safety work.
- You can explain how human conditions and restrictions affect safety.
- You can describe and use tools and methods for patient safety work.

Written report examination ( 3 part examination), active participation in lessions and seminares, and participate in one patient safety conference
