The aim of the course is to examine the conditions for participation and social inclusion of individuals and groups in a changing society

Learning outcomes

At the end of the course the student is expected to be able to

- demonstrate a deeper knowledge and understanding related to the living conditions of individuals and different groups in society.
- demostrate an deeper understanding over programmes and strategies in the fiels of social welfare and health.
- give examples on how participation and social inklusion among individuals and diffrent groups could be enhanced on local level in society.

Assessment requirements

To pass the course the student should pass the following examinations:

Welfare municipality as arena for participation and social inklusion. Individual seminar paper and oral presentation at seminar 20.5.2015.

Deadline for the written report: 18.5.2015. Presentations on seminar: 20.5.2015

Attendance is mandatory at seminars. Justifiable non-attendance to be compensated for with substitute assignments as instructed by the teacher.
