The aim of the study unit is: The student develops
one´s competence in health promotion of children,
adolescents and families.
Learning outcomes
At the end of the study unit the student is
expected to be able to:
Understand the importance of maintaining and
maintaining health
for the future of children and young people
Know the stages of growth and development of a
healthy child and young person
as well as deviations in them
Know the basics of promoting sexual and
reproductive health
Understand the normal course of pregnancy and
childbirth, methods for monitoring and health
promotion
Support families in parental growth and care of
the newborn
Know the principles and practices of child
protection
