s a nursing student you need to calculate and
pass 5 exams of medication calculation on top of the course exams
you do in the courses in Medication administration, PART 1 and
PART 2 (you have started your studies 2021 or later in the Swedish
program) or Medication administration and patient safety (you have
started your studies in Swedish 2020 or earlier or you are studying
in the English nursing program). You need all these before you
can graduate.
During your education one LOVe exam can be
replaced with a LOVe exam that has been done
elsewhere. The LOVe exam has to be on a nursing-
level (it has to include the iv-part as well)
to be approved.
An accomplished grade requires that all
problems are solved correctly and you can, if asked, explain
how you calculated the problem.
You may use a calculator, but NOT your mobile phone.
Remember that you have to pass your medication
calculation test so it is not older than six months prior to
your clinical practice. You can check this with your teacher
if you are not sure if you need to calculate before the
clinical practice you are going out on.
