The aim of the study unit is: The student develops
competence in clinical child and adolescent nursing.
Learning outcomes
At the end of the study unit the student is
expected to be able to:
Know how to apply more common diseases of children
and young people
basics of medical treatment in nursing
Understand the meaning of illness and
hospitalization for a child, young person
and his family and knows how to support and
promote the well-being of families with children
Know how to guide a child and young person as well
as his/her in a client- and resource-oriented
manner taking into account his family's needs to
survive in everyday life
Apply evidence-based information and assess the
quality of treatment
