Competency aims
This course contributes to increase the competence within the contextual clinical care and medical competence.
The competence increases in the medical and surgical context and the medical competence will also consolidate.
Theoretical knowledge and practical skills in medical-surgical nursing.
Learning outcomes
Students are able to
- observe changes in the state of health of the medical-surgical patient
- establish a good care relationship with the patient and his relatives
- utilize the basic clinical care methods in the care of the patient
- put in an iv-cannula and start an infusion
- do a care plan
- understand the perioperative process and is able to use it in the care of the patient
- practice caring science in the care of the medical or surgical patient
- give an oral report (using SBAR as a tool)
