Competency aims
The objective of the course is to create an understanding of the structure of the human body and its functions regarding circulation, respiration and the nervous system.
Learning outcomes
At the end of the course, the student is expected to:
- be able to describe the structure of the circulatory, respiratory and nervous systems and name the organs in Swedish and with scientific
names
- understand and be able to briefly describe the functions of the following organ systems; the circulatory system, respiratory system, and the nervous system.
- be aware of the mechanisms of disease
- know and understand the chemical laws that apply in the human body

Anatomy and physiology:
The structure of the healthy human body and function relating to circulation, respiration and the nervous system.
