Competency aims

This course serves to deepen the theoretical knowledge in the pathophysiology of human diseases as applied in the clinical context, focusing on patient safety. It also functions as a base for succeeding courses in clinical nursing.

Learning outcomes

At the end of the course you are expected to be able to explain - the etiology - the symptoms, the course with possible complications and the prognosis - the most common diagnostic examinations - the most common treatment alternatives, their effects, risks, interactions and side-effects.
