Within this study unit we will focus on the
following competencies:

- Clinical care competence
- Health promoting competence
- Learning and Tutoring competence
- Nursing ethics competence
- Interprofessional work and safety culture
- Leadership and decision-making competence

Once you have completed the study unit you will?

- Have insight into the Finnish Home care system
- Be able to plan, carry out and evaluate a home
care visit, prioritize the need of care, estimate,
and document the need of nutrition, hygiene,
mobility and need for pharmaceuticals
- Be able to actively use Finnish language in
patient education situations.
- Be familiar with the administrative work within
home care and outpatient care and be able to use
the patient documenting system.

The working hours for the practical training are
38H/week and 2 h self-studies/week.
-CV will be updated before making practical training
reservations.

Homecare environment (4weeks)
Written report / Reflective diary
-Reflective dialogue assessment between workplace
supervisor, student and educational supervisor
