1.Opiskelija tunnistaa ikäihmisten yleisimmät
geropsykiatriset ongelmat ja pystyy laatimaan
hoitosuunnitelman ikäihmiselle.

2.Kykenee käyttämään erilaisia mielenterveyttä
tukevia auttamismenetelmiä potilaan hoidossa.

3.Osaa kohdata ja ylläpitää hoidollista
vuorovaikutusta mielenterveys- ja
päihdeongelmaisen ikäihmisen ja tämän läheisten
kanssa eri hoitoympäristöissä.

4.Ymmärtää mielenterveyden ja päihteiden käytön
vaikutuksen ikäihmisen ja hänen läheistensä
hyvinvointiin.

5.Opiskelija tunnistaa omia tunteitaan ja
reaktioita suhteessa geropsykiatrisiin potilaisiin
ja osaa käyttää sitä itsensä kehittämiseen
hoitajana.
