Course contents
The course is a continuation of the Advanced care
part 1 where ABC was taken up. This part continues
with parts D and E. The starting point is to learn
assess need for care.
The following themes are taken up from an
emergency outpatient clinic perspective:
- internal medicine and neurological patient
- Surgical patient
- The trauma patient
- Minor injuries and immobilization, casting
- The geriatric patient
- Women and children
- Psychiatric patient, intoxications and
abuse
- Mental well-being, crisis situations, support,
threatening situations
Prerequisites and co-requisites
To participate in the course, the student must have
completed all first, second and third year clinical
courses with approved results, as well as the
courses Outpatient and intensive care and Advanced
car, part 1

Additional information
Many of the theory lectures are held in Finnish.
The student can use Swedish under the course. The
student should have knowledge of Finnish at an
intermediate level.
Teaching takes place on campus and requires
attendance.
