Competency aims
Students develop their skills in their own professional field by
- demonstrate knowledge of the meaning of concepts, definitions and approaches in relation to health and health promotion
- acquire basic knowledge of public health in relation to population health
- be familiar with evidence-based theories and models of health promotion activities
- acquire knowledge of planning, implementation and evaluation of health promotion
- present knowledge (know-how) in ergonomics
Students develop their ethical competence by
- acquire knowledge in his profession what could be fair, equitable and solidarity on the basis of their own profession's core values
Learning outcomes
After completed course the student is expected to
- be able to explain the meaning of the concepts of health and health promotion as well as concepts that relate to these
- to know how health can be measured and health promotion activities can be evaluated
- gain knowledge of evidence-based health promotion theories, models and strategies and understands the relationship with health promotion in practice
- be able to plan, implement and evaluate a health promotion project for a specific target audience
- be able to identify ergonomic factors affecting human workload in the workplace
