Learning outcomes

At the end of the course the student is expected
to be able

  • use evidence based caring science in the care
    of the
    and surgical patient
  • take care of the patient with medical or
    surgical problems
  • understand how the health resources and the
    interact in the medical-surgical care of the
    adult and
  • understand the basics of the perioperative

  • Patient assessment
  • Central caring activities and examinations in
    the care of
    the medical-surgical patient
  • The decision process in health care; planning,
    implementation and assessment of the caring
  • Medication administration
  • The basics of the pre, intra and post
    care of
    the patient
