The aim of the course is that the student
develops patient-safe competence in medication
administration for the adult patient.

-can plan a safe drug treatment for
adults and make a report of dangerous situations
and understand its meaning
- understands the basics of clinical pharmacology
in drug treatment of the most common diseases in
adults and can apply the knowledge of nursing
- can by different methods supervise the patient
and their related parties in medication
administration and self-monitoring
- can use drug databases and apply the knowledge
gained in drug administration
- can perform various forms of medication
calculation flawlessly and understands its
importance in nursing

- patient safety
- drug and medication safety
- the most common groups of medicines and its
uses, mechanisms of action and ways of
administration
- the therapeutic effects of medication, side
effects and interactions and interaction
mechanisms
- self-medication
- supervision in drug treatment, to get the
patient to commit and engage in care
- applications for medication calculation
