Competency aims

The aim of the course is that the student develops
patient-safe competence in basic medication
administration.

Learning outcomes

Students
- understand pharmacotherapy as part of patient
safety and are familiar with the documentation of
dangerous and complication events in
pharmacotherapy
- understand their responsibility for their
actions during training
- understand the basics of general pharmacology
and pharmacy
- know how to look for and apply information on
medication from drug databases
- know how to guide patients in pharmacotherapy
and the interpretation of an electronic
prescription
- know how to execute basic drug calculations
without errors

- the statutory basis governing pharmacotherapy
- pharmacotherapy plan
- basics of safe pharmacotherapy, dangerous and
complication event reports
- responsibilities and obligations of a nursing
student
during the education
- pharmacology, pharmacodynamics,
pharmacokinetics,
toxicology
- pharmaceutical service
- drug databases and electronic prescriptions
- basics of drug mathematics
