The aim of the course is that the student: - has an understanding of the world surrounding sports - understands the relationship between society and sports in the historical, social and political context - understands the role of sports in the public sector - understands the basis for financing sports in society and understands how sports activities are structured in Finland

At the end of the course the student: - has a general view of the role of sports in Finnish society
