The module includes the competencies to work for
sustainable health with an occupational science
perspective and to work as an actor for
development and change. You have basic knowledge
of the population's health, social context and the
right to be active in society. You understand the
need for everyone's right to occupation and how
physical, social, cultural and institutional
structures in society affect this. You can
identify an imbalance in occupational
opportunities for vulnerable groups in society.
You have basic knowledge of self-leadership.
The module includes 5 credits of practical
training

Knowledge:
You understand how the health- and social care
service is organized within the municipality where
the practical training is carried out.
You understand the systems and procedures for
documentation at your current practical training
placement.
You know how different professions work together
to support the activity of the target group in
everyday life.

Skills:
You can observe how the connection between person
and environment affects the person's occupational
opportunities.
You can present suggestions for action on the
environment to promote the person's occupational
performance.
Based on a dialogue with the person, you can
identify the personal value in daily occupations.
You can interact with persons who have different
occupational challenges in everyday life and be
show compassion for their situation and feelings.

Attitude:
You show respect for the person, let the person be
heard and promotes mutual relationship.
You show respect for the person's strengths and
resources.
You respect and follow the principles of
professional secrecy
You identify the importance of meaningful
occupations and its connection to the person's
well-being.

Internships in various fields of social- and
healthcare where the activity has a central role. It
can be in organisations, at schools, at day-care
centers,hospitals, in health centers, associations
and federations or other areas where occupational
therapists may be active.

Approved achievements from the following study

Units: Activity and the nature of activity,
Environment and participation.

First practical training

Literature from the units (see prerequisites on
ASTA) and current research articles.

For a passing grade the student must take the

1) Completed internship which is passed at mid-term
and final evaluation
