The aim of the course is that the student
- knows the theoretical basis and inclusive and
empowering
methods of assisting interaction
- can identify factors influencing communication
- is familiar with the philosophical, ethical and
pedagogical basis of guidance and education
- is familiar with the significance of online
guidance and
health technology as a customer self-care tool in
health
promotion
- knows how to use social media in communicating
information to citizens
- understands the significance of evidence-based
activities in guidance
- knows how to apply nursing science-based
information in
guidance
- knows the principles of plain language and how
to
produce plain-language texts

The student knows the importance of learning and supervision for the patient in the care work and the importance of applying evidence-based research and caring science in the work.
